1. Be Practical
One very important thing to remember is that your condition only lasts for nine months and therefore, generally, once baby arrives you will never want to see your maternity clothes again. When you're thinking about a wardrobe for your pregnancy, first of all, look at your existing clothes.
Anything with an elastic waist will come in handy in later months. Items like trousers and skirts can be adjusted with a piece of elastic for the first few months. By wearing a loose top over either of these you'll get away without having to buy too many maternity clothes. Keep it simple and accessorize with scarves, jewellery and a nice bag.
2. Skin Care
It cannot be emphasised enough how important it is to look after your skin while you're pregnant. If you have a routine, stick to it and if you're unsure of which products you should be using, visit your local beauty salon or even your local pharmacy and they will be able to advise you on what you can use to keep your skin well hydrated and glowing.
Getting a good night's sleep is crucial. Unfortunately, towards the late part of your pregnancy this can be very hard to achieve. But don't worry, there are many ways to help you get a good sleep.
Make sure you have lots of cushions and pillows to hand, so that when you find a comfortable position, they will help support your back. Having a nice warm drink like hot chocolate, perhaps, can also help.
When you're pregnant, you've got so many things to think and worry about, that you need time to relax and unwind. The best way to do this is to treat yourself to something that will do just that, like a spa treatment : a facial, a foot massage or maybe just a lovely long soak in the bathtub.
Whatever you do, make sure you enjoy yourself and feeling good will have such benefits to you that you'll sail through your pregnancy and greet your beautiful baby with a little stress as possible.
