When a client is interested in having a custom closet installed in his home, he will first call our company and consult our professionals. Almost every company offers free estimates these days, and we are no exception. So from there, we will always go to the customer's house and take the measurements ourselves which is a bonus compared to people trying to put these systems together themselves, since getting correct measurements can sometimes be tricky.
If the client just wants the estimate, then that is free. But if he wants to see an actual design, then he will usually have to pay for it. That is the way it works at most companies now.
Usually, we use a computer program that I have on my laptop to help create the perfect closet based on the client's needs and wishes. Once we input the measurements of the home and the closet, the computer program will create a 3-D image of the home on my laptop screen. And then based on that, we will virtually build the shelves and look inside the closet in a 3-D way.
By using a computer program like the one we have, it will price the closet design immediately based on size and which materials are used, so right during that appointment we can add up the costs and the client can see how much the project will take to complete.
At the same time, clients can tell us which specific colors they do and do not want to use, and they can see their choices reflected on the screen as well. And based on that design, the homeowners can express their likes and dislikes, and help us have a better idea of where to go with the design.
At last, once we have a final product produced on the screen, then it is time to go ahead and make our client's decision as to whether or not he wants to move forward with the project and create a custom closet in his bedroom.
A lot of people think that they can't get a custom system unless they have a walk-in closet, but that is not the case at all. We can definitely install a custom system in a reach-in closet as well, along with foyer closets and babies' closets, too. In fact, our systems can help organize a lot of areas in the house, including attics, garages, pantries, home offices, and more.
Customizing your closet is actually a great way to help you stay more organized. Whichever option you choose, what matters most is that the system is designed to work with what you have and help facilitate your lifestyle better. Call us today for a free design consultation and price quote.
